Self Reflection

Paula Kensington

Self-Reflection is a wonderful thing to do when we make the time.

Often people say to me that they don’t know anything, that they are not sure how they stand apart from a sea of sameness, a sea of others who all appear to have similar skills…

My answer to this question is simple – take a look at what your life has thrown at you so far. Depending on your age there might be 2 or 3 or even 10 big lessons that you have learnt in your lifetime already…

The skill is being able to articulate these life lessons – most of them will probably be painful events in your life – given these are events where you generally have to dig deep and search your soul for skills to ‘get through’.

The skill is being able to bring these lessons to life and show what skill that has helped you to grow or strengthen.

As we hit approach another new year, I would ask you all to consider what life has thrown at you and better still… how have these lessons helped to shape you to be the person you are today…

In order to grow and succeed, we must first build our own foundations and this calls for quiet self-reflection…
